For the second time in as many appearances the Bruins will be playing game six at TD Garden, the Cup with be in the building polished up and ready to be awarded…and the Bruins can’t win it.
The B’s are 6-1 in their last seven playoff series when playing an elimination game. The loss was to Washington last season.
Hopefully the demons of the 88 Cup final won’t haunt the Bruins tonight, due to the amount of fog in the arena during this mornings skate.
Its Friday and what better way to get lubed up for tomorrow’s Bruins game than going to see a country show tonight. Luke Bryan, FGL. Bring it.
So here I am thinking this post is going to be ripping apart the team for their poor playoff performance. Celebrating Claude being fired and the anticipation of what the team will look like next season.
NOPE…they’re going to drag me through at least another four games, maybe more, of me yelling at the TV and abusing my body with numerous alcoholic beverages.
I think the records over the past few seasons are a tell tale of how this series is going to go. Not necessarily who will win (Rangers in 5 BTW) but more of how the scoring will go.
Since the 2009-10 season. The two teams have played fifteen times during the regular season. The Bruins are 4-8-3 in the fifteen games.
-ONCE a team scored five goals.
-Boston hasn’t scored more than three goals on Lundqvist.
-11 of the 15 games were won by only 1 goal.
-Boston has not had multiple wins in a season during the four year span

Sure, the daunting chants of Thank You Kessel won’t reign down from the rafters of TD Garden until tomorrow night but there are other teams in the league who begin their quest for the Cup tonight…
Well it is rivalry Wednesday after all…
Bruins need to put fourth a much better all around performance tonight if they want to pull of a W. The Devils play a much more challenging game than the Hurricanes.
The schedule is dwindling and the B’s need to rack up as many points as they can. Teams are trying to make their final moves in the remaining weeks of the season.
