Big Z takes Yet Another Hardest Shot Competition

One of the most exciting parts of All-Star weekend is the Skills Competition. Back in the day when Ray Bourque was kickin’ around the league he owned the accuracy contest, to the point it was simply called the Ray Bourque contest.

Well there is another Bruin who dominates a contest and that is Zdeno Chara and the hardest shot. Chara set and NHL record last year with a 105.9 MPH shot on goal. This year in four attempts, his first shot and his slowest shot of the four broke last years record. Chara’s four shots came in at 106.2, 108.8, 106.9 and 107.0 MPH.

Here are some other highlights from the nights events.
